PROGRAMS FOR
CHILDREN & YOUTH

FUEL: Developing Future for Children and Youth 
 

Epworth’s Ana A. Brito Foundation (EAABF) offers FUEL programs, Focused Uplifting Enriching Learning, that nurture children and youth through supportive after-school activities, tutoring, and enrichment opportunities designed to build confidence and strengthen academic skills. Let’s Read promotes literacy with engaging reading practice, while additional programs provide creative hands-on learning, soccer clinics to encourage healthy teamwork, and leadership development to prepare students for success in school and community life. All childcare and enrichment activities take place at Epworth UMC, 9008 Rosemont Dr, Gaithersburg, MD, with entry through the top wooden doors. Childcare for ages 2 through 5th grade begins September 2, 2025, alongside EAABF Bridges classes, and Child Enrichment formally launches October 7, running through May 2026. These programs are free and open to the public, with voluntary donations to support EAABF’s mission of making enrichment opportunities accessible for all families.

Summer Fun

SUMMER FUN

Summer Fun is sponsored by Epworth’s Ana A Brito Foundation. It is open to children who are 3 by August 1, 2026 through children entering 5th grade.

  •  VBS extended care with the week of June 29-July 3 is $150 per child.

  • Soccer Clinic the week of July 27-31 is 10 dollars per child and 30 dollars maximum per family

  •  August Summer Fun EAABF camps are  $200 per child per week the weeks of August 17 and 24.  Activities will be divided by age.

Summer Fun Extended care and Summer Fun Camps count towards 10% discount on 4th unit in conjunction with EPK camps/extended care. Contact jennifer.fenner@eumc-md.org to determine your final payment amount for Summer Fun. Summer fun must be paid with check to Ana A Brito Foundation or here:  https://givebutter.com/summer-fun-2026

Payments are due the first day of the month prior to the month of your camp or extended care registration. For example, VBS extended care is due by June 1 and August camp payments are due by July 1. Soccer Clinic can be paid up to the start of the clinic.

Epworth reserves the right to cancel camp or extended care without the required minimum of registrants. Decisions will be made a month in advance if cancellation.

Epworth Preschool and Kindergarten also runs camps with extended care every week in June. Go to www.epkgaithersburg.org to register Email epworth.preschool@eumc-md.org to talk with EPK Operations Manager, Karolina Wicher, if you have question about EPK Camps.

AFTER-SCHOOL & EVENING PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN

CHILDCARE

Ages 2 Years to 5th Grade
Evening childcare providing safe, supervised care with structured activities and free play while parents attend classes or programs.

CREATIVE ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT (CLOSED)

PK to 5th Grade
Academic support combined with art, music, and movement through hands-on learning in reading, math, science, and creative expression.

LET’S READ

2nd Grade | Interest-Based Program
Targeted literacy support for 2nd grade students needing additional help with reading comprehension and fluency. Participation is based on interest and availability.
