The Reverend Timothy B. Warner was called to the gospel ministry while serving as a Deacon at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Rockville in 1996. He completed his Master of Divinity degree at Wesley Theological Seminary in 2003 and has since completed post-graduate work at Harvard University’s Kennedy School in leadership and organizing of action. Reverend Warner was trained as a bacterial geneticist and held various scientific and executive positions for more than 18 years in that field. He serves on multiple non-profit and County boards, commissions and committees, and is the Montgomery County Public Schools Chief Engagement and Partnership Officer, focused on increasing the capacity for the school system, students, parents and others to support the achievement of all students, particularly those most affected by MCPS’ academic achievement gap.
